This year’s honorees for the foundation founded by DJ Beverly Bond (Model turned DJ, Philanthropist) to inspire Young Girls, were Shirley Caesar, Taraji P. Henson, Angela Davis, Malika Saada Saar & Tatyana Ali  , the show was Hosted by Fab Divas! Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King.   If you don’t know these women please read up on them they are all great and inspiring in their respective industries! I’m humbled by the grace and mercy God showed me 10 years ago this day. I should have been there taking my finals, but I happened to not have a final that day. I was woken up by numerous phone calls by my loved ones to see if I was ok and I was home in my bed in NJ. All I could think about was God spared me and if my peers were safe. So many alumni were lost, unborn children, loved ones. I love New York City, I am proud of the resiliency and forever grateful to the  people who tried their best and did all they could to help someone that day. So this is for all the Police, Fire and First Responders. I thought this was a beautiful tribute and I was touched by it. See below the State Farm and Spike Lee directed commercial

Now I do love Leopard but I am still getting used to it on a Dude! Sooo how are you feeling about Dwayne Wade’s FNO at the Prada Store look and Carmelo Anthony at Rag & Bone…..Interesting…hmmm?

There is so much going on tonight. I wish I could be in NYC for all the events, I promised myself next year I will attend. King of Prussia Mall is participating and that is the closest place to me that is. (Jersey girl). Friend in my head Claire from Fashion Bomb Daily, the person who inspired me to start a blog along with other bloggers I will be mentioning in the future. But she is the first that I became addicted to reading everyday. I haven’t gotten to updating everyday I barely update every week/month. That is changing effective today. So if I were in NYC I would be the following places for Fashion’s Night Out!

Meeting fashionista and DJ extraordinaire, Solange Knowles at Lord and Taylor

Patricia Field’s party at her boutique in Downtown Manhattan, always fabulous the woman behind  Sex and the City’s Fashion

Saks Fifth Avenue for Anna Wintour’s signing of the Vogue September issue.

The Giorgio Armani boutique for an evening with Samuel L. Jackson and the Gorgeous Angela Bassett both  will speak about their upcoming Broadway play,

Carmelo and Lala Anthony will be at Rag & Bone signing the limited edition “his and hers” hats they designed in collaboration with the line for FNO

Next year I’m there are you coming?

I personally feel the same as Diane Von Furstenberg Leopard print is a Neutral Color! You  can never have enough in your wardrobe is like black, grey , tan or brown in your wardrobe. So ladies embrace it. Leopard always makes me feel like I need to be BOLD when I am wearing it. A sense of Confidence, Strength and all things FIERCE! Have a good weekend!
